1968 Buick Skylark

Black beauty who needs a new home and an owner that can give it the attention she deserves. Driven today as I brought it out for pictures. I have owned this vehicle since 2007, my father purchased off eBay from a seller in New Jersey. Prior owner indicated garage kept, and have done the same the past 15 years. Original frame, floors and trunk. Driven minimally and only during summer months. Engine is not original, but this is how I bought it and I have changed nothing over the years (other than repairs). Have all of the various maintenance records since taking ownership. Tires are essentially new, bought 3 years ago but driven very little since. There is body damage on the driver side front from a fender bender 9 years ago (shown in one of the pictures). The hood sits a little wonky as a result and the driver door needs a lift when shutting. The convertible top also has a bent metal piece that needs replacing (pictured) but otherwise the hydraulic convertible top worked just fine prior. Comes with the boot. The engine leaks transmission fluid, albeit slowly. Gas gauge only goes up to half when tank is full. I always kept track of miles driven as opposed to trusting the gauge. My father and I spent a lot of time on various repairs and projects with this car prior to his passing and it is a very solid ride. I love this Skylark and the many great memories but I need the garage space and I just can't give it the TLC she needs any more. Great winter project for those with the passion and interest to make the few repairs needed to keep this baby humming for the next generation. The number of compliments this car has gotten from strangers over the years is staggering. She cleans up very well. I am not a mechanic but happy to answer any questions to the best of my abilities.
