First year for the Buick 455, last year for the 10:1 compression 370HP/510 lbs-ft torque SP code. Riviera III means vinyl top, side trim and choice of fender skirts. The interior is the Custom level with Strato-Bench seats. This is a solid and complete Riviera, perfect for a restoration project. Brakes have been rebuilt. A/C works well with original R12 system. Original interior in serviceable condition. No cracks in the dash pad. Original Coronet Gold. Numbers matching. The 1969 and 1970 Rivieras have electric fuel pumps. I think it probably needs a new fuel pump and/or fuel filter. Sometimes it is starved for gas. The frame and undercarriage are solid. Pinch welds in the body are all in good shape. There is rust bubbling through on the lower door edges, on the driver's rear quarter above the fender skirt and the bottom edge of the trunk. It is a well optioned car that needs work.
