Although an automatic, Dynaflow design allows for push start similar to manual transmission popping the clutch. Priced to take these items into account: prior to COVID ran well but currently not running as it’s been sitting in garage, some bumper rust (MAY come off with steel wool and more elbow grease), small rust spots on/under hood, small tears/stains in front and rear benches, carpeting low quality but good condition, frayed fabric door trim, dry rubber seals, driver door arm rest (under window) paint chips, driver vent window cracked, driver and passenger side kick panels missing, rear window package shelf and trunk wall damaged. The Buick Special was all-new for 1954, with a wider and lower stance, a less pronounced rear fender hump, blunt tailfins, new steering linkage, and better power steering. It was redesigned with rounded rear wheel arches, trim over the top of the arch, three ventiports and a striking waterfall grille. Under the hood, the Special was powered by a new 264-cid V-8 engine that generated 150 hp when mated to the Dynaflow automatic shifter.
