This car knows how to make an entrance. The factory-correct burgundy paint was given a quality respray later in life. Another great trait of a vintage Buick is plenty of room for family and friends. But all you need to do is fold down the front armrest to remind you this is a personal luxury cruiser. You'll slip behind the three-spoke steering wheel, and that gives you a commanding view of all the features that surround you. It's a driver-oriented setup that includes power windows, power locks, and cruise control. You even have factory air conditioning and the Sonomatic AM radio there for display. You can service these two items to have them function again, but for now, they really complete the time capsule feeling inside.

Under the hood is the bold red block of the massive 455 cubic-inch V8. Buick didn't make them any bigger, and so these have a reputation for serious power and torque. This is an era-correct block and many of the factory correct pieces are still in place. The motor inhales deeply from a Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a sweet sound out of the dual exhaust. You'll really enjoy taking this Riviera out on the town, because the TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is known for being both stout and smooth. Plus, there's power steering, power brakes, front discs, and deep tread on good cruising tires.
