1947 Buick Super. Condition is Used. Amazing ConditionI will do my best to describe my car. Up for is a 1947 Buick Super 8, Series 70, four-door sedan. This was considered one of the premier post-World War II luxury cars for the American family and served as Buick’s flagship from 1946 to 1957. The engine is a straight-eight and a three-speed transmission with the shifter on the column. The interior is in excellent condition. Interior lights and glove box light work. The front seat has a cover over the original seat. The rear seat is like sitting on your living room couch. The headliner is also in excellent condition. The car has been repainted at least once. Whoever painted it did it right, The paint still looks great there are no signs of dust or dirt under it. The car has been garaged and kept and under a cover. It has the original glass and it does show some minor tarnishing in some areas. The chrome is solid. There is some very minor pitting on some of the chrome. The hood is topped off with the iconic “bombsight” hood ornament. The car has the original paperwork and registration. I did have some work done to the car through a company called Old Forge in Lansdale PA. They change the distributor and some of the wires the were old. I did keep all of the original parts which I have in a box in the trunk of the car. Dave's Interior Restorations in Emmas Pa. Did some work on the float on the carburetor to re-calibrate it. David is also A member of the Buick club of America and has an extensive collection of Buick‘s. My Buick has 35,000+ or - original miles. When I purchased the car I had it professionally looked at from the AAC and had a report written. If you are local you’re more than welcome to come out take a look at the car bring it to your mechanic and have anyone you want to look the vehicle over. I don’t really drive the vehicle much as I wanted to save a piece of American history. The car is 73 years old and looks amazing.
