1923 Buick Depot Hack/45 Series --
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this gorgeous historic '23 Buick 45 Series Depot Hack. What is a Depot Hack you ask? In the 20s a train station was called a train depot and a taxi was a hack. So historically the taxi that would pick you up from a train station was naturally called a Depot Hack. This beautifully restored hack comes in a stunningly finished wooden cab complimented by read and black accents. Powering the Buick is... a 242ci 6 cylinder motor mated to a 3-speed manual transmission. A full restoration to include the powertrain is believed to have been completed by the previous owner. One look at this vehicle and you'll agree. Currently the vehicle resides with a historic vehicle collector and has been in the collection for over 12 years. But now it has finally come to market. So, if you're looking for a rare piece of American history, this Depot Hack is for you! Please contact us today for more information. The Buick Master Six was an automobile built by Buick from 1925 to 1928. Before then, Buick was using the six-cylinder 242 engine in their high-end cars and a four-cylinder engine in their smaller, less-expensive cars. Starting in 1916, when this generation was introduced, different models were known by a designation that changed yearly. Beginning with 1921 until 1924, it changed to Series 21, denoting the year, to Series 24 (for 1924). Beginning with the letter designations, the Series D had additional numeric designations for the body style, 44, 45, 46, and 47, designating touring car, roadster, sedan, and coupe.
