Description:

1953 Buick Roadmaster

Runs & drives strong on orig. 322 Nailhead V-8. PS, Dynaflow II A/T. Came with **every factory option available** (except wire wheel covers) - PB, deluxe radio, heater/defroster, washer, brake-on light, more. Buyer sprang for a number of dealer gewgaws as well (since removed, but that come with the car), including rain shades, gas door guard, and tissue dispenser.

Registered; driven weekly. I've owned it since 2007. Moving now, cannot take with.

88Engine refreshed, brake & fuel systems overhauled.88 This big (2.2 ton)car will do 80MPH with pedal left, and 70 all day. New gas tank w/sender, and battery. Motor mounts replaced. Front floors repaired & solid. Electric wipers substituted for vacuum type. **New door panels, headliner, kicks, package shelf.** Newer bias-ply WWW. Many spare parts.

**Have all trim to finish**, incld. both sweepspear assemblies, rocker moldings, rear stone shield, R mustache whisker, and the joining bits on both door posts.

Repainted in a year-avail. two-tone combination; paint has just a few nicks, not bad. Dark green loop-type carpet with heel pad and jute backing. All lights work. The rare first-year GM A/C system is intact. Orig. "H-Bomb" A/C compressor comes with. FUN FACT: Only 1 in 240 (.04%) among American cars came with factory A/C in '53 -- including this one!

Hubcaps on the car are from a '48-9 Buick; believe I have the originals, in good shape-- if found, they will go with it. Bumpers & overriders were prof. painted Chrome Aluminum. Couple of rust bubbles currently forming on lower rockers and lower front edge of LF door, 10 years after painting -- otherwise all sheet metal is excellent. Spare quart of paint incld.

Needs: s/s trim re-installed; seats upholstered (if you want); rubber door & trunk seals; couple vent windows replaced (glass delaminated - nothing critical), and a lube job..
