1956 Buick Special Series 40
| 1956 Buick Special, Original 322 Buick motor with 3x2s aluminum intake and carbs, Petronics Electronic ignition, removed old dynaflow transmission and replaced with new 700R overdrive transmission and conversion kit, all new custom Coffin Exhaust system, got rid of the old closed driveline and rear end and installed a chevrolet 80's rearend, new Drive line, installed Accuair system with the au4 valves, rear bags and redid the rear suspension with 4link trailing arms, up front suspension has been changed to stock upper and lower A arms with new ball joints new air bags, Fat Man dropped spindle Towers to get it down another 2 1/2", now lays frame, Custom one off Hellwig 1" swaybar, all new disc brake conversion kit, all new brakes all the way around, new power brake and booster conversion kit, Changed the power steering box and pump to a newer style kit, two 380 compressors for the air ride system all custom mounted and hidden under the front air damn panel, for easy access to the air ride set up. ( this leaves you a lot of trunk space), New gas tank and sending unit, New 20" Mobsteel wheels, New 20" tires, we had the Mobsteel hub caps custom done with the Buick Logo pin-stripped on the cap by famous pinstripper Rube, all new Interior( by Santos upholstery), headliner,dash pad, all dash Chrome has been redone to give the car a new car feeling on the inside(by NewAge Chrome), shorten the steering column 3 1/2", used the original steering wheel and had the Horn bezel re-chromed, all New door rubbers, new trunk rubber, new door stops, I have a lot of other new rubber parts for the car that still need to be installed, The outside of the car has been left with Patina on the Blue paint (cut buffed and hours of polishing), all the white paint has been painted(by Gil Prieto), cut and buffed...the hood was left with a couple of rusted through spots to go with the patina look, that's the only rust on the car. Rust free under the car, very solid ride. New Windshield and windshield rubber, All the side window glass and rear window are original 56 Buick glass with the green tint. You can drive the car any where. and cruises down the road 50-60 miles an hour. runs and drives like a dream. Also bumpers have been left in their original condition for that patina look.
