Conversely, a few "unofficial" sources list an array of production numbers: 3,943, 3,923, or 3,450 units; however, research among some well-versed Buick restorers and specialists has concluded that the Sun Coupe's production numbers fell somewhere between 1,600 and 1,800 units.

The story goes !!!! purchased several units at a Georgia auction and needed to complete my load when i came across this open top skylark. We bought and shipped to Cicero Ny 13039 where it sits today for sale on Ebay.
This is an unmolested unit just as it was built. Please look close at the photos as there is wear and dents around. Minor rust at bottom edges. You can see paint work around its 46 year lif, normal. Current paint is sun faded. What a great base to build a 1972 sun coupe.
