300 V8, TH200-4R AUTO, CLEAN IN/OUT, RUNS & DRIVES GR8, NICE & UNIQUE CRUISER!!
1964 Buick Skylark
In the 1960s you bought a Buick because you wanted style to go with your power. Today that spirit has made them a true unique cruiser, and in the case of this 1964 Buick Skylark coupe, you get a well-coordinated package and the special 300ci V8 under the hood.
1964 was the introduction of the iconic Chevrolet Chevelle, and its Buick cousin offers that same appeal with added style (and a nicer price today.) Buick's designs were coming into the modern era during this time and had done away with gratuitous chrome on their cars. It has the right amount in places like the form-fitting bumpers, wide grille, and iconic portholes to be impressive standout styling elements without being overbearing. Instead, what really does the talking is the design. The sheet metal gives you a beak-like front end, sweeping sides with aggressive red streak, and a tail section that looks stretched by the wind. This Skylark really appears like it's about to take flight!
That red streak on the outside was actually a preview of the full red interior. The seats are quite inviting with their button-top pattern and fresh presentation. This might have been an intermediate-sized coupe in the 1960s, but today that means plenty of room to take up to four people along with you. Still, even when it's just you out for a cruise, this hardtop is good fun. You have the individual comfort of a bucket seat. Plus, the steering wheel is a newer NK4 unit that gives you superior grip without obstructing the driver-oriented dash.
When you lift the hood, you'll immediately see the Buick's Dante Red block and matching valve covers radiating from within the black engine bay. And as you look deeper into the details correct air topper, tidy wires, good belts, correct washer bottle, etc. you realize how well this V8 is presented in total. The four-barrel carburetor version of Buick's 300 cubic-inch motor was a short-lived option, but it's an ideal one. It combined the motor's light weight with a fine power package, and that's why it's sought-after today. That kind of history makes us happy that this one fires up easily, idles smoothly, and makes a nice sound out of the newer dual exhaust. Out on the road, features like the front sway bar and TH200-4R three-speed automatic transmission make sure this Buick retains its easy cruising attitude.
Well-coordinated, nicely presented, and V8-powered this is exactly what you want in a standout classic. And when a Buick like this is so nicely priced, then you know you need to hurry to grab this deal. Call now!
