Description:

1973 Buick Riviera --

The third generation Riviera was radically redesigned for 1971 and featured a flowing "boat tail" rear end that was a homage to the Corvette Sting Ray. A much larger design than before the Riviera was slipping from its sport image as it grew in size and weight. Thankfully the car came standard with the 455cid V8 that produced up to 265hp in GS trim and could hit 60mph in 8 seconds which was reasonable brisk. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this very nice Riviera GS for your consideration.... Finished in a unique shade of orange with a contrasting beige vinyl roof and contrasting pin stripes this is a sharp looking car. Fitted with the GS packaged which was ride-and-handling package that included a rear stabilizer bar a specially tuned "radial roadability" suspension additional sound insulation and special "Gran Sport" badging. The 455cid engine starts up without an issue and sounds healthy. It pulls well and the 3-speed ST-400 automatic transmission shifts smoothly. Front power disc brakes and rear drums stop the car with authority and the car is composed on the road. It has a lot of luxury features including power windows power front seats air-conditioning power locks and a radio. Everything appears to be functional and the condition of the car is very good overall. The paint and trim is in great shape and the interior shows very little wear. The leather seats are free of rips and stains and have good padding. The car rides on 20in chrome wheels with tires that have tons of tread left. A very unique and stylish vehicle just 34k Rivieras were produced in 1973 and much less GS models. With lower mileage and great condition this car is a stunner. Comes with two keys as well as the owners manual. To see over 80 photos of this car including under carriage please visit our website
