I am selling this beautiful car, runs and drives perfect. I built it 25 years ago, a 3000 hour 3.5 year project. The engine ( Just detailed it and replaced the gaskets) was built with Pontiac forged con rods, custom forged pistons with 10-1 compression, custom ground solid lifter cam for that hot rod sound! .. B262 intake and Comp series AFB carbs. Spalding dual coil Flame Thrower distributor.. As with all our Nailhead engines it was balanced and honed with deck plates.. ST400 trans, 72 Buick GS posi rear end with special Quick Change cast aluminum cover. It has a triangular 4 bar setup with coil springs. 12" Buick drum brakes up front and 11" in the rear with a dual master cylinder and it STOPS!. Dropped tube axle, custom Posie front springs and Vega steering box. Custom boxed frame. Custom aluminum 15 gallon fuel tank.
The all steel body was the hardest part of this build, these were all wood framed so it was replaced with steel tubing, a huge job done correctly. Bear Claw latches, It has the Hallock style windshield on it now but you will get the early flat windshield and stations with it. VDO gauges, quick removable steering wheel, 31 Buick locking steering column. The tires are like new and about 2 years old. The pictures of the car in the street is with different plug and valve covers and engine before detailing, the engine close ups with the Fenton covers is what it has now. The first picture is the car winning another award just today for "REAL HOD ROD"..
This car has been featured in 4 magazines and pictured in many other, I have a picture of about half on the awards it has won.. Best Hot Rod, REAL hotrod, BEST ENGINE, Dare To Be Different.. this is not a cookie fake duce, it is a real steel car with a real history.
