Description:

1957 BMW Isetta

This car was purchased from the Bill Darland collection some years ago, the car was dismantled and some new parts acquired and some parts were rechromed. The title has it registered as a 1959 but the serial number is 1957 according to the Jensen book. The engine is from a British built Isetta so the serial number is only 5 digits, the 41 stamped by the push rod tubes signifies 300cc.
New parts include: Windshield & rubber, back glass rubber, sliding glass rubber, door gasket, Metro Rubber lights & misc grey & black rubber kit, front bumper rubber, body mounting rubber, muffler & head pipe, muffler hangers kit, door handle & 2 keys, clutch cable, choke cable, heater cable, 1 new front marker lens, stainless braided brake hoses, banjo fittings, rear bumper, new wheel cylinders, master cylinder is either new or rebuilt and includes 6 relined brake shoes.
It has plenty of rechromed items including: Front & rear tube bumpers, door hinges, headlight & tail light bezels (but the Hella logos are gone), tail light reflectors. The seats have been reupholstered in blue by previous owner and a matching blue canvas top was made and assembled on dirty unpainted top bow - not sure why the upholstery is just half done - seat springs look cleaned but not painted?
The chassis should really be completely dismantled, it still has blue paint under the black paint, the steering was not assembled correctly, the steel brake lines are poorly made. I would also dismantle the engine just to inspect it. There are no new engine parts included. You will need a new fuel tank and probably 2 front brake drums, the rear cast drum looks really good. You also get 5 wheels even though there's only 4 in the photos. There are many parts not in the photos, but as far as I can tell this is a complete car. Extra detailed photos upon request. Located near Medford Oregon.
Parts in red bin, not visible but are there: 3 brake drums, ignition switch. 2 rear mud guards, air cleaner housing & rubber tube, wire harness, gas cap, behind the seat engine cover, dynastart regulator, headlight buckets, rear shocks, misc hardware.
