1982 BMW 3-Series

V8 powered BMW E21 with a tuned Buick 3.5L V8 all aluminum engine and Tremec T5 manual transmission. Lowered sport suspension with front and rear with coil-overs (see below details) and strut braces. The engine has lot's of low end torque, revs nicely and produces about 200 HP. It was tuned 6 weeks ago with an Edelbrock Performer dual plane intake that is port matched plus Edelbrock four barrel 600 CFM carburetor and dual cold air intakes. Sport exhaust with remote electronic cutout. Ignition system has been gone over with new Bosch Red label ignition coil that made a big difference.Performance aluminum radiator and pusher electric cooling fan keeps the power plant cool at all times.
The body is rust free and the paint shows extremely nice with no stone chips at the front and only has minor imperfections on the left rear lower panel, next to the driver door handle and on the trunk lid close to the M badge (see pictures). The chrome bumpers are very nice but the chrome around the front and rear windshield as well as the door window frames show some scratches and aging.
The car runs on 15 inch BBS style aftermarket wheels with 175/55/15 Kumho tires that provide a perfect stance. The tires are now a bit old and I will put a set of new tires on the car for the new owner. Modified sport brakes with drilled and slotted front discs and red painted calipers (new discs and ceramic brake pads 200 miles ago). Interior is in very good shape with Recaro sport seats. The original Tachometer doesn't work but all other instruments do.A programmable CNSpeed tachometer with inset gauges has been added to the center console and a shift light is mounted on the dash. Mono wiper conversion. Kenwood CD/Bluetooth stereo system with amplifier.
If desired, the front and rear spoiler as well as the front grille can be taken off in about 30 minutes and the car looks original like in the one picture (I kept the original parts). The car is very clean and drives and handles extremely well. I never raced it and was built as a hobby. The all aluminum V8 engine weighs less than the original BMW iron motor and with the modified and lowered suspension and strut braces the car handles like a track car.
