1958 BMW Isetta 300, this micro car was owned by the second owner for over 40 years, I have owned the car for nearly 9 years and performed much of the restoration work with the help and assistance via Isetta's 'R' Us owner, Werner Schwark. I did have the interior fabricated by a well known individual in California that only fabricates his interiors to original specs and material.
Every nut and bolt, gasket, rubber, tires are new or reconditioned as new. I shipped the newly painted body to original specs and color along with the interior and new parts along with the restored chassis to Isseta's 'R' Us Inc. for complete assembly by Werner and his team in Woodstock, Georgia.
I have run into a problem of space and it has come time to part with the Isetta ................ I just don't have time to drive the car and with a top speed of around 50 mph, going up the long hill to my house is somewhat of a challenge. Don't get me wrong, people are happy to follow me along as they take video's and photos. The Isetta is a big hit at my local coffee shop as many people have no idea what it is and kids just love to sit in the car as their parents take photos.
I have lots of books and original owners manuals, some in German and lots of old receipts and information about the car. I have a complete collection of Bubble World monthly magazines that go back years.
The car starts and runs great, with only 3 brakes on the 4 wheel US version it stops, but you need to give yourself some room. The brakes are completely new as are the shocks, the engine and transmission have been reworked and cleaned as new. The chain drive and exhaust were redone by Isetta's 'R' Us, so this Isetta is a great example of the car that saved BMW.
All chassis parts, and under carriage paint, along with the engine paint is new, or powder coated, (not the original color per Werner), but he did like it and said the body color was great and as close as possible to the original color and scheme.
Car is being sold "As Is - Where Is" with no warranty implied or otherwise. The car is Titled in Arizona and available with a Clean Title.
