Bought This a true half century survivor E9 1972 BMW 3.0CSi at the time i was in Sweden and Germany about 2 years ago and subsequently imported to the US. A refurbishment carried out over the last five years reportedly included frame off bear metal a repaint and a refresh of the braking system, as well as installation of a Getrag five-speed manual transmission. Power is supplied by a replacement fuel-injected 3.0-liter inline-six, and additional features include a stainless steel exhaust system, a sunroof, a wood shift knob, a Blaupunkt cassette radio working power antenn, 4 Bilstein shocks, and 14″ turbine-style wheels. This E9 is now offered with purchase documents, owner’s manuals, service records, a tool kit, a fold-out warning triangle, and a clean Georgia title in my name.Finished from the factory in Malaga Red paint code (021, the Karmann-built body was reportedly repainted in 2016, and the seller notes additional work performed at that time included re-chromed brightwork along with a replacement windshield, weather-stripping, and badges. Exterior features include a power antenna, quad headlamps, fender vents, and dual side mirrors.ATS 14″ Alpina-style wheels were fitted during previous ownership and are mounted with 205/70 Vredestein Sprint Classic tires that show 2017 date codes. The brake system was overhauled in 2016, and the suspension has been fitted with Bilstein shocks.The seats were recovered in black leather during current ownership ($6000), and the cabin features a restored wood trim on the dash ($3000), console, and door panels. Amenities include a crank-operated sunroof, a wood shift knob, a working analog clock, and a Working push-button Blaupunkt cassette radio .New battery in 2020A three-spoke Petri steering wheel sits ahead of a 240-km/h speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer.
