This December, the car turns 50 years old.
Amazingly it still has the original VIN number matching engine in it after all these years

Up for sale is an appreciating rare gem of 1970 BMW 2002 with its original number matching engine and VIN, I sold this beauty back in 2005 and now its back home to me in California 14 years later.
It's in great shape for it's age and is very affordable and a great candidate for daily driver while being restored as it is very solid. The headliner needs replacing as it's original and 50 years old, I can have it done for $800 with OE factory style if buyer wishes. Front left portion above headlight and grill was not fixed properly as shown in pictures.
Still runs like a champ and has service records dating back to 2010 when the last owner purchased it.
