The car shows an original 87k kilometers which translates to 54k miles and the climate is very good the body. This car feels, drives and looks exceptional.
On offer is a beautiful 2800 CS in a fantastic condition. Both inside and outside, technically and from the underside. The E9-series isn't known as a solid/rust-proof model and many examples have either been restored, or are rusting away.
This example is nice and straight, and wears beautiful Bristol grey paint, the original color. The quality of the body is exceptional. Beautiful shutlines and a fit and finish that is rarely seen on E9's. The paintjob has been redone a couple of years ago in Germany. This was done beautifully. The quality of the paintjob is very high, very straight, a perfect shine and depth. The engine bay has never been painted and is unrestored. Unique: this E9 has the original mats and stickers in the engine bay.
The car is solid and free of any rust. With a nice and honest undercarriage. Even the E9 specific places are free of rust and solid, like the a-pillars and the engine bay. The Bristol grey paint looks gorgeous with all the chrome and the green tinted windows (which was a factory option).
The undercarriage of the car has been chemically cleaned. The floors and wheel arches are in a beautiful condition. Almost un-E9 like. Never welded, untouched. No thick layers of Stone-chip but like it came from the factory. Yes, this is a beautiful survivor quality.
The interior has been redone by us. An absolute stunner, but with eye for detail and originality! The seats and rear seats have been reupholstered with beautiful blue leather. The rest is all original. Original blue carpets in perfect condition. The original headliner from 1971 as well as original doorpanels and a nice, crack free dashboard with beautiful wood.
The car makes a great, like new impression thanks to beautiful chrome bumpers and trim. Nice headlights, taillights and blinkers. The wheels have recently been powdercoated and the tires are brand new. Nice mirrors and grills. Yes, this car really stands out from the crowd!
