All original 1974 BMW 2002.
The car is all original - perhaps with the exception of the aluminum rims.
The interior has the original horsehair seats, original vinyl/leather/whatever fabric, original carpet and headliner. All of the knobs and bells and whistles are there.She's a classic, even has that "old BMW smell".
The motor is smooth and powerful at operating RPMs. A really great sound, like new. At idle she is a little rough - the Weber 32/36 carb probably needs to be rebuilt.
The engine compartment is all original, with little to no bas*ardization.
There are no dents or impact damage to my knowledge.
RUST:
Well, the car needs body restoration, obviously. That's why the price is not $15,000.
But she is not as bad as she looks.
The rust is limited mostly to around the wheels. She will need new front fenders, and the rear wheel arches need repair. Some other small bits here and there - the running boards under the doors have some perforations, but not bad. (The chrome trim under the doors comes with the car.)
The rear shock towers are solid, and the underbelly of the car is in remarkably clean condition.
Recent work:
New front calipers and the master cylinder, and probably six new brake hoses by time this offer ends.
