Up for sale is my 1980 BMW 528i finished inBrasil-Braun Metalic with Gobi Tan Leather interior.
I purchased car 4 years ago with the intention to fully update this no rust car. I've spent over $17k in updates but sadly needto sell.
Everything works on the car including the typical BMW non working items such as rear defogger, All Power Windows, Central Door Locks, Fog lights, hazard flasher lights, interior light, Digital Clock (missing 2 pixels), 2 stage Sun Roof, Central Door and Trunk Locks, Rear View Mirror driver and passenger interior lights, Trunk Light, and Glove Box Light.
The car drives great with it's original very smooth shifting 3 speed transmission. Car still has the typical solid "BMW Thump" when going over bumps/speed bumps as well as the solid BMW solid door sound when closing the doors.
The Sun Roof works perfectly and does not leak. Both Full Open and front tilt position operate with no issues.
Front Dash is in Perfect Condition with No cracks anywhere
All Glass is original BMW with OEM water marks still showing in the lower corners of the glass (see pic's)
No rust on any of the doors or rockers (See Pic's)COMPLETED PROJECTS INCLUDE :---------------------------------------------------
* All new Full Leather Interior and Door Card Stock replaced with Gobi Tan Hides
* All interior door wood trim refinished and stained to better than new condition
* Rear deck carpeting replaced with new OEM matching Import Loop Hazel color carpet and card stock
* Interior carpet is all original in like new condition so there was no need to replace
* Entire Interior and trunk area installed with Dynamat sound deadening material
* All 4 door electric window motors were replaced with new motors
* All 4 central door locks and trunk motor were servicedlubricated
* All 4 corners have new Bilstein front Struts and rear shocks
*All 4 corners have new Brake Calipers, Brake Pads, and Rotors
* Installed new OEM passenger side mirror
* Updated all 4 Headlights with Hella H4 lights.
* Installed Steel Fog Light Guards/Protectors for Hella Fog Lights
* Installed 5 New 205/70 14 Altimax Tires Mounted on Alpina Style rims that were refinished to like new condition* Installed pair of new old school ADS 300i Plate Speakers on the back deck.
* Installed Polk 4 x 6 Plate Speakers in front kick panels
* Installed Kenwood head unit with Bluetooth, XM Radio, and hands free phone option.
* All front end bushings or rods were replaced including front sway bar, center control arm, towing bracket, and upper strut mounts
* Replaced Spark Plugs, Distributor Rotor, Distributor Cap, Spark Plug Wires, Air Filter, Oil and Oil Filter, Fuel Filter, Electric Fuel Motor, and Fuel Sending Unit.
PROJECTS NEED TO BE COMPLETED INCLUDE :----------------------------------------------------------------------
* OEM Glove Box Flash Light doesn't work needs to be replaced
* A/C works and is cool but needs to be converted from R12
* Paint is original and still has high gloss finish (see Pic's ) but a new paint job would make the car perfect. The original/previous owner applied obvious touch up paint on the driver front fender and various spots on the car I feel (See Pic's) detract from the cars original condition but as you can see from the pic's aren't real bad.
* Power Steering hose has ver small leak on low pressure side and will need to be replaced at some point.----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I've tried to be up front and list everything I can think of.
