An excellent example of iconic classic. Pictures tell the story. Stripped to shell for restoration of a clean, dry body. Not concours, but an excellent 2002 "roundie" that could be driven anywhere today. Way too much to list but this gives you an idea of condition of the car and work done...
-CLEAN trunk, shock towers, floorpans, underbody, front fender aprons, spare tire well...all 02 rust prone areas are clean of rust and original.
-Of note....dash is in beautiful condition, new salt and pepper carpeting, new factory windshield, all seals and weatherstripping excellent, chrome and brightwork excellent (only rear bumper is faded),engine/driveline/transmission/clutch/differential excellent, headliner excellent, early style Recaro seats from a 1971 Alfa Romeo, period correct Becker Europa radio (works), upgraded shocks, tie rod ends / centre link / ball joints/ strut mounts/pads/rotors/shoes/wheel bearings/wheel cylinders/hydraulics/calipers all new, H4 European headlamps,original Solex 1 barrel carb with original air breather and snorkel, new points plugs,condenser,rotor,plug wires and cap, Bosch blue coil, new FACTORY exhaust and every other "bread and butter" maintenance item is new.
Other highlights....
-no rear defrost grid on back window-- original on very early 2002s-VERY COOL vintage look
-original early instruments,centre console and shift boot
-original steel wheels sandblasted and refinished (including spare) with original hubcaps (mint condition), new tires and original jack.
-Collector plated...when the inspection forms were returned to me, the inspector commented "beautiful car!"
-all electrical/lights/switches/horn /fan/heater work perfectly.
-door panels uncut..no speaker holes!
-original red centre taillight lenses
-People LOVE this car...colour is Pastelblau and it turns heads and contantly gets compliments and thumbs up.
Not perfect....
Back seat lower split and mismatched -see pic -(horsehair pad is excellent and not smelly).
Belt line trim not original.
No speakers installed.
Odometer stopped working 2 years ago....speedo/tach work.

This is a bona fide high #3+ or 2- grade car.
