Description:

1972 BMW 3-Series

Offering for sale my Sahara 1972 BMW 3.0CS. Car has been a joy to own, but my 1 year old prefers the vintage volkswagens, and its not too easy to fit a car seat in so as it sits more than I'd like for it too I'm offering it for sale. I purchased this car about a year and a half ago from the previous owner of 12 years. He was in the military and it traveled with him in Arizona and Colorado before coming to Florida where I purchased it. Upon my purchase I did some maintenance to make it road worthy and reliable such as replacing the leaking differential, fixing a few oil leaks, installing an updated cooling fan and water pump, and some other odds and ends. The car is quite original. The entire interior is original and beautiful. The leather seats have wrinkles from the almost 50 years of use, the dash has some cracks, some of the original wood veneer is peeling in some places. The outside of the car does indeed have some bubbles under the paint in some places. The car was resprayed, previous owner told me some of it was original paint but i cannot confirm. The bumpers trim, molding, lights and all the expensive and hard to find pieces are in very good condition. It is a 4 speed manual car, it shifts perfectly. It runs fantastic. It has been updated with weber carburetors at some point. All the electric windows work, as does the radio, gauges, clock, horn, and even the air conditioning. The car has digital adjustable air ride suspension that rides beautifully, and 18" modular BBS RS wheels, a modification I did that was very costly and I do not expect to see a return on. If I really want to sell I will put car back on stock suspension and wheels later on, the car does come with replacement strut housings and the rest of the suspension with bilstein shocks. This is a fantastic driver, beginnings of a hot rod, or makes for a great restoration candidate. It carries a clean FL title in my name and a large stack of receipts and documentation going back to the 70's. I require a $500 deposit via Paypal within 24 hours of auctions end and 7 days after auctions end for full payment to be made. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask and thank you for looking.
