1975 BMW 2002

It has a 1974 engine BMW 2002 with approximately 30 K more miles. The engine originated in Oregon it and placed it there. I purchased the car from an individual in the California, an Francisco bay area. I drove it back from California. . .. . .great trip

Comments:

- It has the original paint color and interior.

- Complete overhaul of brakes, ining, nd bearings at the BMW shop Indianapolis, ndiana.

- Electrical work of turn signals, arning hazards, uses, eadlights, rake lights, uses andor wiring harness have been worked on at BMW shop.

- Rear end was drained and wheel bearings were packed and rear end lubrication was replaced.

- Rear end, nstrument cluster, ight door, eber carburetor, nd top end engine adjustment {valve lifter, iming, learance}, s well as new and floating bearing at foreign car shop outside of W. Lafayette, ndiana.

- Complete exhaust rehanging at Car Exhaust.

- Tires have less than 15 K miles on them.

- Several items have been completely overhauled foreign car shop outside of W. Lafayette, ndiana.

- Recently new front and rear window seals were replaced

- New transmission rear end seals.

- New seal on the sun roof at the BMW shop and adjusted.

- Solid car from front to back with respect to rust (related items discussed below for your reference).

- Mechanically sound.

- The seats are leather.

- Dash has a clock.

- Mechanically it is very sound with the exception of the heater/blower fan.

- Rust for a forty year old car not an noted. She is very solid with only small amount of surface rust around the connections of the molding. There is some slightly deeper surface rust along the doors on both side but nevertheless <2 hours of body work it can be corrected. There is a bad back seat pan behind the driver's seat which can be replaced as well. Also, here is a small amount of surface rust under spare tire, gain surface rust.

- Dents, here are dents on the right front fender and door. There is a small dent in the nose and front lower airfoil. As noted from the pics they are not terrible but they are notable. All could be fixed with good body man with the exception the pan, t should be replaced. A sheet metal worker can replaced it and do the bodywork on fender and door as well for ~ 4-5 hours of labor...

- The interior is above average with the exception of the cutouts in door panels for speakers which need to be filled with speakers {note in pics}.

- The consul area where the radio is attached is rough and electricity needs for the radio to be fixed.

- There is not any noted rust in the doors, round headlights and usual fender areas. They are solid.

I have owned the car for ten years. The odometer states ~57000 miles on it. I have driven it about in the range of 6500 miles.

It was admired by two BMW shops. They were impressed by impressed by the mechanical fitness of car at it age and its ability. The vehicle is easily with the 3-4 Hagerty rating and low to average retail for Nada.

It is all there a true "20 footer" which is good to excellent mechanical shape. Most of the is >> better than average with the exception of the addition of the speakers in the door {which I did not do } and the area of consul which contains the radio.

Condition 2 15,000 -19900 everything is perfect might be some substitute but some Parts, r less than desirable characteristics.

Condition 3 average car 11,049 a true 20 footer, t contains all the correct Parts, eatures and is good running order, echanical shape. Could possess some, ut they will be well balanced or a new correct inter, car drive and run well but might have some incorrect parts. These cars are not for daily transportation but are ready for a long tour without excuses will not find any visual flaws. Good is the one description of a 3 car.

Condition 4 are daily drivers, ith flaws visible to naked eye. They have problem with chrome might have pitted or fender has minor dent. The interior could have split seams or a cracked dash. No Major parts are missing, ut the wheels are missing, ut the wheels could differ from the originals or the interior might not be stock. A 4 car also be a deteriorated restoration. Fair

This model clearly rates mostly with level 3 ratings but has with some work would be easily a 2-3 level.
