Although this is a 7 day auction, I reserve the right to end auction early.You are bidding on the iconic BMW 2002, 1973 model with the desirable round tail lights and chrome bumpers. Numbers matching car, 4 speed manual. I have receipts for approx. $20000.00 in repairs and maintenance over the years from previous owners. While never fully restored, the vehicle appears to have been well cared for. It appears to have had one repaint to its original color. While still very presentable, it has its share of minor flaws, nicks, chips etc. Perfectly suitable to drive and enjoy as is, or a great candidate for a high end restoration. Description as follows:
Exterior:
• As mentioned, Riviera Blue paint code, shows and shines well
• Original bumpers and trim. Once again, shows well but chrome has some fading and flaws after 56 years of use.
• Nicely upgraded BBS style wheels with new tires.
• Solid example, good floors and framework. Nice spare tire well and shock towers as well.
Interior:
• Still retains its original tobacco interior with the exception of new carpet
• One crack in dash
• Very nice head liner
• Vintage Momo steering wheel
• No radio
• Overall interior is very nice given its originality
Mechanical:
• Correct and original drive train with 4 speed manual
• Well maintained as evidenced by repair receipts
• New Ansa exhaust, nice engine and trunk area
• Heat, lights, wipers, horn all work fine
• Fuel gauge is intermittent, possible sending unit?
• Odometer is inop, actual mileage is unknown
• Runs very well, no fluid leaks.
