This 530i runs and drives well. It was a daily driver until recently, when it developed a fuel leak (likely a worn hose). It has been parked since developing the leak (approximately 2.5 months).
Clutch and transmission are excellent. Disk brakes are good. Great, smooth power from this fuel injected inline 6 cylinder engine.
Has original paint with a patina only 40 years can earn. Very small rust spots (pictured) but has been a Southern car for at least 20 years. The body is very straight with no evidence of accidents or frame damage.
The sunroof was sealed shut by the previous owner to prevent leaking. It is water tight.
Original interior is in fair condition. It's all there, albeit worn, except for the original radio which was removed. Drivers seat is torn and seized in place.
The blower motor works, but the air flow is weak. A/C is weak.
The only power window switch currently working is the drivers side.
If you're reading this, you likely know more about this model of Bimmer than I do.
The odometer shows approximately 190,500 miles, which is accurate.
This is a great candidate for restoration, rat rodding, or just putting a little work into and enjoying as is.
