1990 BMW 3-Series Sport

Here it is, the E30 that will end your search for E30’s – A black on black 1990 BMW 325iS with a 5 speed gearbox. It originally came equipped with an automatic transmission however a 5 speed conversion was completed at some point in its life. Vehicle Options Include: Sport package with sport suspension, 25% locking differential, sport seats, M-sport 3 spoke steering wheel, front and rear spoilers, air conditioning, 13 button on-board computer, power windows, power sunroof and fog lights. The vehicle has just under 160k miles with an operational odometer. When I acquired the vehicle the odometer was inoperable. This was remedied with new gears immediately after taking ownership. It has been a California car its entire life and has never seen inclement weather. It has a clean body + undercarriage with no rust or corrosion. All, original body panels with VIN tags are intact. The paint has a nice sheen to it and is in great shape for its age, while the factory pinstripe is surprisingly still intact. Aesthetically the vehicle is no Concours winner. The body does show some imperfections such as small dings, dents and paint chips. It’s to be expected of a 26 year old vehicle. The most noticeable flaw is a slight dent in the center of the driver side door, near the trim. You have to look pretty closely to see it and in my opinion doesn’t take away from the overall appearance of the vehicle. Please note that I took photos of all VIN tags but one which you can rest assure is matching.

Mechanically, the vehicle is in great shape and drives wonderfully. The engine sounds and feels very strong. Shifting through the gears is smooth with nice clutch engagement. It rides on an upgraded sports suspension. Bilstein sport and H&R sport springs not only give the vehicle a much sportier look but also keeps it planted through the corners.

Recent Maintenance performed mostly by Castro’s Motorsports includes:

All electrical features with the exception of cruise control work as designed, including AC. The instrumentation has no fault lights and all gauges work as they should. An Optima yellow top, deep cycle battery powers the vehicle.

The non smoker interior shows very well for its age and mileage, with little wear noticeable on the various vinyl surfaces. The dashboard is virtually crack-free with the exception of a small crack near the passenger side which hasn’t expanded since taking ownership of the vehicle. (Difficult to picture due to angle). The front sport seats and rear bench with headrests are free of any cracks or tears and the leather is nice and supple. Both driver and passenger door panels are in excellent condition. The original grey carpeting is very clean with no staining or discoloration. Included in the sale are new, OE BMW front and rear, black carpeted floor mats. The headliner is fully intact with no sagging or tears. The vehicle comes equipped with a Husco arm rest/ cup holder, maplight mirror, ZHP weighted shift knob, E36 leather e-brake handle, leather shift and e-brake boots w/ M sport stitching, E36 window switches.

The factory premium audio sounds great. All speakers including the tweeter panels work as they should. Audio is delivered through a contemporary radio which includes both audio and streaming Bluetooth, CD, and usb thumbdrive capability. A BMW Z3 antenna with removable mast was installed in place of the original mechanical antenna. The vehicle has also been fitted with a keyless entry system and comes with two fobs to arm and disarm vehicle.

The stock 14" wheels are in great condition, though some very light curbing is present. The wheels are wrapped with brand new Cooper CS3 tires. Less than 150 miles driven since they were mounted/ balanced. The flip-down tool kit retains all of its stock items,and the original 14" spare wheel/tire is still in place.
