This is "Peach" my 1976 BMW 2002. She is in great condition and runs like a dream. I bought the car in 2008 from a collector in North Carolina who kept it garaged and drove it on weekends. He told me he was the 3rd owner and it had the original speedo with 77k miles. I replaced the dash in 2010 with one from a local shop. I would estimate the mileage to be around 90k. I still have the original speedo that you can have. It was my daily driver for 2 summers and is still one of my favorite cars to drive on the weekends. I kept it covered in my friends airplane hanger in the winters and in my garage in the summer. It has very nice Recaro seats. matching leather wrapped bench seat. matching leather door panels and a matching leather headliner. A leather-wrapped steering wheel. The dashboard has a fitted monogramed (BMW 2002) dashmat. smooth shifting 4 speed standard trans. Performance wise it is perfect however there are a few cosmetic issues that I wish I could fix. but don't have the time. I bumped the front spoiler on a curb last year and never finished repairing it (see pictures). The paint was flawless when I bought it. but has started to bubble in places (mainly the roof and hood). Otherwise perfect. No rust in the trunk or floor panels. I will include as many pictures as possible. but please feel free to email me if you have any specific questions or would like more pictures. In 2003 the car received the following. (again right off the service reciept). * clean pistons * hone cylinders * replace piston rings * replace main bearings * replace rod bearings * clean oil pump * shim and reinstall oil pump with loc-tite * replace stem seals * replace lap valves * fabricate PCV system My favorite local shop did a bunch of work last spring including:* fixed / replaced horns* repaired turn signals / turn signal cancel* greased window regulators* fixed door handles / locks* new struts* new strut bearings* new brake rotors* new brake calipers* new brake pads* all new front suspension bushings* new tie rod assemblies* new ball joints* adjusted steering box* repaired exhaust system* clutch slave cylinder replaced* new stainless steal braided. Teflon coated brake lines* replaced shifter support bracket bushings* fixed dome light door switches* replaced windshield washer fluid bottle and motor* cleaned out windshield washer nozzles* cleaned interior door panels* repaired tail lights* replaced licence plate lights* new shock absorbers* repaired rear wheel cylinders* new brake shoes* adjusted emergency brakeI am sad to part with her. but hope you can enjoy her as a daily driver or collector as much as I did.
