This auction is for a 1973 BMW 2002tii number 2762669. It is a running driving car, it has been a real work horse, and definetly the best car I ever owned, but I am not going to be able to give it the attention it deserves so time to pass it off to somebody who can. The Original color was Ceylon which is Metallic Gold a fairly rare color.The car runs, but the engine in the car is tired, it doesn't smoke out the exhaust, but has blow by. The engine in the car is not the matching number block, but that block with matching numbers in good condition never bored out comes with the car. The car has a salvage title because I was rear ended when stopping for pedestrians in a cross walk about 8 years ago. The rear panel and trunk lid were repaced all the rest of the body panels are original it was just never repainted. It has the original nose with no snorkle. Slick top' with no sun roof. It has some rust bubbles here and there but not bad. The front strut towers, rear towers and sub frames are rust free, and the subframes are straight.It's a shabby little car, and the motor is kind of tired, but I wouldnt be afraid to drive it anywhere, it doesn't overheat, it drives and handles very well, it's solid without rattles and the steering is tight. Seventy five mph down the freeway is not a problem. I was driving the car to work everyda, but I have used it for a couple months and I don't want it to sit around and deteriorate, is it a running driving round tail light 2002tii so I hope to find it a good home. I will co-operate with your shipper or I can store it after payment until you are able to come and drive it home.
