1933 Austin of England 10-4 Roadster Body like 1932 Ford Roadster
1933 Austin 10-4
Aloha. For sale is this 1933 Austin of England10-4 two door Roadster body. This is an extremely rare car here in the US. It is very much like a Ford Model A Roadster in it's lines and proportions with a wheelbase that's about 6 inches shorter and narrower. It is not as cartooney or clown-like in size as the more common Austin Bantams, 's and American Austins are. The proportions are actually very well balanced. It features right hand drive, umble seat, nd a drop convertible top.
This auction is for the body only no chassis. I do have the original seats, otor and transmission and will include them at the buyers shipping expense. Overall the body is in fair condition for being 82 years old. There is typical rust at the bottom edges of panels and some filler here and there. Most of the wood structure is rotted except for the dash, oors and trunk lid. The floor sub structure has been cut at the firewall to make it easier for moving and storage. Convertible top frame is included as well as windshield, adiator, hrome surround, omplete dash with instrumentation, umpers, ood, runk lid, oors, enders, tc.. The rumble seat cushions are long gone, ut as stated I do have the original bucket seats which are in good condition. The only other major body part missing are the running boards which were bady rusted due to being covered in rubber. Would not be hard to fabricate new ones. Motor is the original and is complete and turns over by hand.
Please look at pictures carefully. Feel free to ask specific questions. I live in Hawaii and shipping will be at the buyers expense, ut I will palletize or crate the parts and deliver them to port on the buyers behalf. Parts would ship from Port of Nawiliwili on the island of Kauai. I think everything whould fit on two to three pallets depending on whether or not you want the motor and seats. Last time I shipped palletized cargo between CA and Hawaii it cost $5-600 per pallet. Matson is the largest shipping company. I also have contacts with local freight forwarders.
The picture of the complete car for reference only. It is not included in this auction. This auction is for a complete body in need of restoration. No chassis included. Would make an awesome little hot rod. Chassis length and width is very close to VW bug, r you could always build a custom chassis. Or perhaps you just need parts to complete your restoration of a 10-4. Sold with Bill of Sale only. No title. Please email with questions. Thanks and good luck!
