Description:

1959 Austin Healey Sprite

Hollywood is the appropriate name for this wonderfully glamorous red Bugeye! It came to San Francisco in 1959 and spent over 20 years in Pebble Beach on the Monterey Peninsula. After sitting dormant for a number of years it was put up for sale and an adventurous man who recently moved from Chicago to Hollywood bought it. He asked the original owner if he thought it would make the trip back to Los Angeles area, he owner said "don't know why not, t runs great". So south he went along the scenic coastal Hwy 101 and eventually ended in Hollywood.

Hollywood, he Bugeye is a remarkable car it is solid and unmolested the floors are and fenders look great Its so nice to be able to use factory holes and nuts that are attached to the underside of the car when attaching the seats for example. Underneath the grime on the frame the red factory paint is still there! In the back behind the seats there is the original body numbers! The Motorola radio comes with the car, ee photo of the dash with the radio dial. The current running gear on the car is a strong running 1275cc motor matched with a ribcage 4 speed transmission, owever since so much of this car is original and straight I am also including the original running 948 motor and carbs and the original smooth case transmission. The paint is not perfect, t has minor blemishes but ti shines up great and makes for a fantastic driver. The original color of the car was Cherry red which is very close to the color it is painted now.

I took photos of the floors and trunk area and will take more of the frame. It all is solid and has not been repaired as far as I can tell.
