Austin Healey 3000 All Original and Complete Restoration Project Georgia Car
1964 Austin Healey 3000
1964 Austin Healey BJ8 3000 MK3Listing for a customer of our shop.Great restoration candidate. Southern car since at least 1984 (when current local owner purchased in Athens, Georgia). It is believed to be a Georgia car it's entire life. The owner only drove her for a couple years before getting married and having his first child. This Healey has sat in dry storage ever since. Lately, he has come to the realization that he will not likely ever have the time to restore it. He has decided to let her go to someone who will return her to her original grace. The car was originally white with a black interior but was painted blue before the current owner bought it. It has numbers matching engine and gearbox. It rolls easily and steers easily for loading but does not run. The engine turns freely on the starter. There is some rust in the trunk floor but the frame is very straight and solid. The side windows roll up and down easily and the top frame moves freely. The original wiring harness is in very good, unmolested condition as are the gauges and switches. This would be a great car to restore. There is no title (Ebay didn't have a "no title" option when listing) but the car will come with a Georgia Bill-of-Sale and a Heritage Certificate verifying it's originality. Please don't hesitate to email any questions you may have. For international buyers: The car can be delivered to Port Charleston, SC or Ports Savannah/Brunswick, Ga via insured trailer for an additional fee, please inquire.
