1966 Austin Healey Sprite
Showroom ready little sportscar with a real head-turning appeal. This iconic British right-hand steering sportscar has a devoted fan base all around the world and rightly so, making any person sitting in it imagine themselves driving the streets of Europe.Finished in tartan red with black leather trim piped in red and matching red hood and red current owner having been its keeper for the last 28 years since 1994. This is a very nice example of the Mark III Sprite. The restoration was carried out in 2005 -- this included a bare metal repaint in the original tartan red and the car still looks fresh. The car has travelled 2400 miles since the restoration. It was recently recommissioned in February this year and as part of the recommissioning the car was given 4 new tires, new headlamps, new ignition components and a new battery. The car is both Road Tax and Mot exempt. The Sprite was designed by the Donald Healey Motor Company, with production being undertaken at the MG factory at Abingdon. The features include: matching hood, leather trim, steel wheels with hubcaps and a sports steering wheel. The history folder includes: current V5, copy of V5 and previous V5's, current MoT and previous MoTs, MoT related paperwork, bill of sale, folders, correspondence, invoices, Gov.mot history, photographic images of the restoration, invoices, original sales brochure x 2, spare keys, Driver's Handbook, shell lubrication chart and Wikipedia write up. The Sprite remains a favorite choice for many as a classic and it's charms remain unaffected by time.
