1958 Buseye Sprite Project

1958 Austin Healey Sprite Bug Eye

This is a 1958 Bugeye Sprite. I bought it 5 years ago, the engine ran, I drove it on to the trailer. The project has not progressed and I need the space. I put disc brakes on the front, new not salvage and rebuilt the kingpins. The fuel tank is new. The seats are in very good condition. It had a set top when I bought it which appeared new, but has remained folded up. The project comes with new inner and outer rockers.
The vehicle will have to be trailered.
The person that I bought the car from had lost the title so I had it inspected and the State of Illinois issued a rebuilt title.
This car has been restored in the past and I suspect that the body contains Bondo, but it offered a good start for restoration of a model from the first year of production.
