1959 Austin Healey Other

My partner had me hunting down an old TR6 from the want ads when I got a strange feeling. I felt a Deja Vu coming on but it was all real, had been here before. Yes the destination 350 cherry street was unmistakeable. I had bought an alpine here 4 years prior for $360 bucks from a wonderful old gent. Alas he had passed and his nephew was selling the cars! all of them, e bought all 6 and this is the last and best to me. A hotrod Healey, uilt at a shop in Novato, alifornia on Grant street in the late 80's. The nephewremembered his uncle getting the lead and rushing off. When I hadbeen to the see the man before all the cars weretarped tight, ow the carswere in the yard, ushed out unceremoniously among the planes, rucks, ailboats and other bric a brac. The car runs wonderfully. silky smooth and idles low, ot too lumpy. Theholley needs a rebuild. Its dumping way too much fuel in there we suspect. I recently pulled out the clutch slave since it was pissin on me garage floor. Have not gotten around to a new one. Thats the impetus of moving the car along, ave not done anything with it, hould let another carnut have a go. The car is titled to me and I have dmv records back quite a ways I believe. The vin tag is no where to be found. We looked in the safe at the old mans, nd in the cupboards and the nephewasked the uncle to go in the sacred shoebox, othing. There are recreations online and if no-one wants this car I intend to drive it in the antifootball rally here innortherncalifornium January 1st. It very very close to being roadworthy. Are you unconventional and lust for power? well here you go. Justdon't expect to brush elbows with the healey guys, hey want nothing to do with this. harris. UPDATE: just the flares are fibreglass. the body is aluminum.
