Description:

1966 Austin Healey 3000

We do not really know what year this car is. It has South Carolina replacement VIN plates that don't make any sense. There is NO TITLE, sold with bill of sale only. Email me at speedwellcars at gmail.com for a link to a dropbox account with 178 pictures including all the details of the underside. This car is being sold as a parts car. We do know it is a BJ8.I got this car from a gentleman who had lost his storage. He said it once had a Corvette engine in it and had been restored to being beautiful. He bought it from his cousin many years later without looking at it and had it shipped to him. What you see is what he got. He put it in a storage unit and just left it. Nobody knows what actually happened to this car but it should only be considered a parts car. There is no title and will be sold with bill of sale only. This car rolls and steers quite easily. The car is equipped with disc wheel adapters (5x4.75), which allowed the installation of alloy wheels from a Jaguar XJ6.The body panels have very little rust except for the boot floor. Both shrouds are very nice with only a minor dent on the left side of the front. I magnet tested all the steel parts with very positive results. In the Dropbox pictures you will find pictures of the insides of the fenders that have "bodywork" circles on them along with a LOT more pictures of the engine compartment and the entire underside. All the blemishes are minor and the filler was not due to rust. There is no engine or gearbox. There is no bonnet or boot lid. What you see in the pictures is what you get.$500 deposit required within 48 hours of auction end. Balance must be paid for by cash or check before being picked up.
