Description:

1960 Austin Healey 3000

1960 Austin Healey 3000 Mk I (BT7) restoration project.

Matching numbers. Heritage certificate.

LOW RESERVE.

Has matching numbers motor plus 4 speed side-shift transmission with overdrive - motor and gearbox are not currently installed in the car.

This is a project car, for repair or restoration.

Car number, body number, and motor number all match the Heritage certificate.

Car was originally finished in Ivory White with a Red interior.

Car is equipped with 48 spoke wire wheels, heater, adjustable steering column, and overdrive transmission.

The car has rust in the exterior and interior panels, the floors and in a number of sections of the chassis/frame. Kilmartin in Australia make excellent chassis repair sections (Moss and Victoria British sell Kilmartin panels), or Jule Enterprises in Canada supplies complete chassis. If you are in Europe, AH Spares sells repair sections, full chassis, and also complete inner body shells (chassis, floors, front and rear bulkheads, etc).

Shrouds are quite good - rear has some dings along the bottom, and front has been pushed in below the grill. Hood (bonnet) is excellent - media blasted and epoxy primed. Doors and trunk lid are repairable. Front fenders are repairable, rears are not so good. Car comes with an extra pair of repairable rear fenders.

Motor is matching numbers. It does not currently turn by hand. Includes rocker cover, flywheel, clutch, carburetors, intake and exhaust manifolds, distributor + tach drive, coil, generator, starter, radiator, fan, motor mounts, etc.

Car Includes:
Speedometer, tachometer, oil/water gauge (with working water temp), fuel gauge.
Wipers, fan motor, turn signal relay, o’drive relays, o’drive switch, fuse box, horns, dip switch, headlight buckets and front and rear lighting units.
Door locks, handles, trunk hinges/lock, bumpers and various trim parts.
Good front seat backs, bases, slides and rear seat buckets are included.
Windscreen frame (no glass), windscreen pillars and side screens.
4 x 48 spoke wire wheels + a 48 spoke spare.
A good used side exit muffler.

Items I know to be missing: Soft top & frame, exhaust down pipes, rear section of rear seat, trafficator, headlight rims, various nuts and bolts.

If you don’t see something please ask as I may have it, and just not photographed it.
