For sale 1961 Austin-Healey bugeye sprite. This is a no reserve auction. Unusual 61 sprite with GERMAN VIN TAG. This car has several distinctive European parts such as the French front turn lamps and the Euro amber tail lights..(also comes with the red taillights) The engine is a proper 948cc, with dual su carbs (recently rebuilt)....runs great with good compression and oil pressure. The sprite boasts a cut down windscreen with matching side windows. Also has a rare bench seat that is quite comfortable...lots of leg room. Kuhmo tires are in new condition. It’s a negative ground car and the European Lucas headlights work, as does the horn, turn signals, radio, gas gauge, tack, temp,speedo,and wipers. Don’t have the wiper blades on the car but they are included with a box of spare parts that include new brake shoes (front and rear) a full size windshield, top bows and a black tonneau cover in good condition. Actual mileage is unknown. Has a transferable New York registration. Great little sprite to sport about this summer! OK why is it so cheap? Although the trunk is solid ...there is rust underneath and the floors have been patched. Has not been on the road for awhile, and should be checked out before going too far. .Should not be driven until properly checked out. The winning bidder is responsible for transporting to new location.The car starts right up and drives and stops, all forward gears are functional, but Recently not going into reverse..sometimes yes/sometimes no..
