1993 Audi S4 S4 Quattro
This is my 1993 Audi S4 UrS4 sedan. For those who are not familiar this is a rare and low-production vehicle that got the entire Audi "S" performance models started. This car has the legendary drivetrain from the Audi Quattro rally car with all the luxuries and features that Audi could think of in a four-door sedan. These cars are famous for their incredible durability and reliability. These cars can handle power upgrades of double the stock horsepower without breaking things. The engine transmission and AWD are ultra-durable and long lasting. In fact this car may be the most reliable Audi ever produced. (Not necessarily a difficult honor toachieve).I have had several of these cars and I'm familiar with them. I really appreciate the performancepotentialand durability of these cars. This car has the following equipment and options:
- 2.2L AAN turbocharged and intercooled I-5 engine
- Quattro AWD with manually locking rear center differential
- 5-speed manual transmission
- power-operated leather Recaro seats heated front and rear
- automatic climate control with A/C
- anti-lock brakes
- power locks and windows
- power moonroof
- cruise control
- factory carbon fiber interior trim
- factory BOSE radio
- Porsche Boxster front brakes
- Mille Miglia Porsche Turbo Twist style 17" wheels
I have put approx 1200 miles on this car in the past few months and I really enjoy driving this car. It is remarkable how reliable and dependable it is. This car starts perfectly and runs perfectly every time. This is a fun fast car that handles deceptively well for a four-door sedan. This car has plenty of power strong brakes tight handling and a wonderful sound from the I-5 motor. It has no known mechanical issues other than what is discussed in thislisting and it drives very nicely. I would not hesitate to get in this car and drive anywhere. This car is in what I'd consider far above averagecondition. Most S4s this age will be tired old rust-buckets with terrible interiors- this car is the exception. This is a clean solid old car that runs and drives really well. This is a trustworthy fast and fun car that you can enjoy exactly the way it is.The timing belt and clutch have been replaced within the past 1500 miles. This car was previously owned by a mechanic who took very good care of the car.The body is clean and in good shape and the car looks nice. This is a solid clean and well-kept body. The paint is in good condition (much better than most of these cars) and it has a good shine and nice paint quality with no clear-coat flake like is so common. The interior of this S4 is in goodcondition. The leather seats are far above average incondition- you will not find another of these cars with seats that look this good. These leather seats are amazing for the age of the car. This car is stock mechanically other than the addition of the Porsche wheels and brakes the lowering springs and the interior boost gauge. I have not chosen to modify this car but the potential is there. Withstock internals this car can be tuned to 450 horsepower or more while still staying reliable. This car is 22 years old and it is obviously not brand new. Please do not purchase this car with every last dollar of your automotive budget with nothing left over- just like any older car this car will cost you money in service repairs and upkeep down the road. Here is a list of all known defects no matter how small: The cruise control does not work. The parking brake doesn't work. There are minor paint imperfections rock chips scratches small dings etc. This car is solid and isn't a rust bucket but it wouldn't be accurate to call itabsolutelyrust-free either there are a few bubbles beneath the trim at the bottoms of the doors and a few tiny bubbles by the door trim around the wheel arches at the bottoms of doors etc. There is a slight power steering leak that doesn't require adding fluid more than every week or two. The air conditioning doesn't blow cold but I admit I have done zero work looking into it. The compressor does cycle on with the button so if all goes well the A/C would work with a recharge but I don't know how to do it. The rear brakes squeak a bit. The steering wheel is a few degrees off from center when driving straight though the car doesn't pull. There is a screw through the right front corner of the front bumper. There is a ding beneath the rocker panel under the car at the right rear. The wheels have a few scrapes. The interior kick panel beneath the steering wheel is not in place but it is included in the trunk. The rear headrests are split. The above issues are all minor and typical for an Audi this age. None of these issues would prevent you from driving this car across the country or anywhere for that matter. But keep in mind you are not purchasing a brand new car and this car is of course sold as-is with no warranty. You can fly in to Cleveland (CLE) and drive this car home. You can also have the car shipped- please call Angels Transport at 530-245-0481 for a shipping quote. This car is kept in my warehouse in Willoughby OH.Questions email me or call/text me at 440-339-4341..
