1964 AMC Rambler
This is a "TRUE TIME CAPSULE"......... We are the 3rd owner of this car and we acquired in 2018 when it had around18,000 factory original miles on it. It now has a little over 24,000 factory original miles.THE FIRST (2) PICTURES OF CAR ON TRAILER IS THE DAY IT WAS DELIVERED TO ME IN 2018 AFTER BEING IN STORAGE IN CLIMATE CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT FOR OVER 40 YEARS.Has "FACTORY" air conditioning, "FACTORY" tinted windows, and is six cylinder automatic. Power steering and power brakes.The BUCKET SEATS lay all the way back for possible sleep or rest.BELOW IS THE MECHANICAL WORK THAT I HAVE DONE ON IT:
** New wheel cylinders
** New master cylinder
** Rebuilt "original" carburetor
** Cleaned fuel tank and fuel line
** New fuel pump
** New top and bottom radiator hoses AND had "original radiator" flushed
** New points, plugs, wires and distributor
** New fan belts
** New battery
** New "front" and "rear" shocks
** Changed transmission pan gasket and filter
** Flushed "rear end" out and new rear end grease
** DOESN'T USE "ANY OIL" and DOES NOT SMOKE
** It runs great........... and almost looks like NEW
There of course is a little touch up paint on a few small areas, mainly the front of the hood, and the trunk lid... but beside that, it isFACTORY PAINT, guessing on around 98 percent of the car.Factory spare tire in trunk never on car.Take to car shows and tons of people are amazed by it.... and I have heard more stories about people or their parents or someone they know who had a Rambler. Also have won lots of awards.Looking for a possible new project to work on, and hopefully this RAMBLER going to someone who can keep it original for the next 50 years!- Make: AMC
