Description:

1979 AMC Concord

1979 AMC Concord Wagon up for Auction. It's a woodie! Almost 81,000 original miles on the car. Car starts and runs. I have used the vehicle as an everyday driver to work in the summer. Car gets stored for the winter in my garage. What you see is what you get. I will try to list the good and the bad below. If you are looking for a woodie wagon, this is the one!Good:New StarterNew BatteryNewer Master CylinderMileage is originalCar has spent time between West Virginia and Ohio, and has been stored inside for WinterMinimal rust on the vehicle. Surface rust, and the paint is single-stage so it's easier to correctThis baby gets looks everywhere it goes. Almost everyone has a wagon or an AMC story. I love the car, I just do not use it as I envisioned. We are getting ready to move and I do not want to drag it along with me.To me, very few modifications have been done to this vehicle. All the wood body panels are still attached on the vehicle.Bad:Driver side front door does not open from the outside, it does open from the insideHood for the engine is a struggle to open. You can do it, you need two people to do so currently.Car leaks transmission fluid from the transmission pan gasket. This has been replaced once. It dries out though every time it is stored. If you drive the vehicle regularly, this issue remedies itself. Transmission has been inspected since I owned the vehicle and is a solid 3 speed transmission, original transmission.Car was in an accident in the 6 years I have owned the vehicle. The last two pictures are the extent of the damage. It still is that way on the vehicle today. The right rear wheel took the brunt of the damage, and was replaced. Frame is still good.Carburetor is due to need cleaned/adjusted. This is just my opinion but I had not played with it much since owning the vehicleTires will probably need to be replaced. Again opinion, but they are the same tires that were on the vehicle when I purchased it in 2018.That is my 1979 AMC Concord Wagon in a nutshell. I am happy to answer any other inquiries. Or to show the vehicle as well if you like. I live in Painesville, Ohio. This vehicle is also listed online elsewhere for sale, and I reserve the right to end this auction if it sells otherwise. One other note. I plan on going with you to the title bureau to transfer this vehicle over to you. Please do not expect me to just hand you a title and you be one your way. What you do with my baby after it is yours, well it becomes your business and not mine. But I have had a bad experience selling a vehicle and not have the title transferred before hand.I hope you enjoy! Thanks for looking, happy hunting and good luck!I am also out of town for Thanksgiving. This auction ends on the 21st. I am happy to make arrangements if you are serious about procuring this vehicle.
