1969 AMC Ambassador SST

Three owner 1969 American Motors Ambassador SST.Rare Factory 390 AMX V8 (same high-compression most powerful factory V8 AMC ever made used in the '69 AMX), Power steering and Power Brakes, Tilt Wheel. Castillian Gray with Black Vinyl Top.I am the third owner, 143,000 miles.Car was bought new at University Rambler in St. Louis by original owner in '69, which he traded in his '66 Ambassador for it. Original Owner had it Ziebart applied when new. Original owner moved to Massachusetts in 1973 where it was loved and garaged until 2016. It had been parked (undriven) in original owners garage 2001-2016 (Photo in gallery is removing car from Original Owner's garage in 2016). Second owner was friend of original owner, he grew up in Massachusetts but lives in SC. I bought from second owner in 2019. I took the car up to Detroit for the 2022 AMO Convention in September (pictured in front of the last AMC HQ - American Center) I have all original ownership documentation as well as handwritten letters about car from original owner Car had restoration completed in the early 90s, minor rust repair was done to the rockers, no bondo. Magnet sticks everywhere on this car. Car is totally rot free, minor pimpling under vinyl top (roof is still totally solid, no "crunchy" areas) with some surface rust under the car like most 50+ year old vehicles. Second owner put slightly louder dual exhaust. Original wheels with wire wheel covers and new tires. Original air cleaner was stolen off the car by a neighbor kid while in the garage at some point in the 2000s. Original Gray Velour seats in beautiful condition, no fading (sorry camera gave it a purple tint, however beautiful gray in person). A few buttons missing off of front seat back as shown. New carpet installed in the 90s still in excellent condition. Paint is nice, has a few chips here and there (shown), but very nice for a driver.There are two spots on the rockers, one on each side, that need to be touched up.Car won a Top 6 award with Carolina AMC at the Charlotte Auto Fair in the spring 2022. AC system has had the compressor replaced, system converted to R-134, however though it blows cold for about 2 weeks, there is a leak somewhere.Front end bushings should be replaced as well before driving regularly.They are worn but still made new as the front end is same as Rebel Machine.Engine has never been rebuilt, but runs VERY strong, does burn some oil.
