1968 rambler american 440 trim level low miles one owner car local north carolina car bought new at amc dealership.no rust on car floor pans in great shape allong with trunk bottom of car looks good as top side of car.141 of this this trim package made with he 290 v8 factory air with power steering and power brakes,factory dual exhaust has been redone with flowmaster mufflers and all new pipe from manifolds to the bumper,new sending unit for the gas tank installed and working tank flushed and cleaned then reinstalled.new battery and belts and carb rebuilt.motor runs well with no smoke or noise,power steering works as well as power brakes.thats all the good points on the car what will need attention is next.will need new tires old roll around tires hold air but not road worthy,there is body fill in drivers rear quarter you can see in trunk pic damage to the sheet metal no rust just body fill to smooth out repair.transmision works fine in reverse but will not pull car in drive does fine on jack stands but under load will not fully engage. bought this project to put another motor and trans in car bur after running the i.d. on the rambler site with only 141 made in the 440 trim with the 290 v8 thought i give a rambler purist a shot at this first before i replace drive train any questions please call 336-973-5550 car is also for sale local adverts auction may end early
