1962 AMC Other Classic Custom

Up for bids is a 1962 Rambler Classic Custom, the final year that used the classic Nash styling, introduced in 1956. The rambler is equipped with a very smooth 195 6 cylinder (cast iron - not the aluminum block) and 3 speed manual Overdrive transmission. I'm selling to make room for other interests, but will probably regret it once this Classic sells.
Solid unibody, and rust free - The previous seller bought the car in Washington State, and it appears to have spent all of its life on the west coast - There are a few pics on Google of the car with WA plates, but no previous history is known. VIN number C792940

The car was painted at some point in the past, and has a nice gloss to it, but there are several small chips and imperfections that I have tried to show in the pictures. The glass is in great shape, and Rambler even used a reduction gear in their window cranks, so the windows roll up and down in 2.5 cranks instead of 4 or 5 like other cars.
The seats have been reupholstered in NOS material, and are quite good looking. The carpet, door panels, dash and headliner are all original, and in excellent condition. This car has the reclining Air Liner Travel Bed seats, including the head rest for the passenger only! It's a radio delete car, but it has a clock, which does not work.
Shocks and brakes are in good condition, and a new clutch was installed earlier this summer. The transmission shifts very easily, but you will notice that the shift mechanism may need some adjustment between 1st and 2nd gear - Overdrive kicks in every time, and works perfectly. The tires have plenty of tread, and alignment is straight as an arrow.
What needs to be fixed? The original rubber trim on the door trim has become brittle and is breaking off, especially on driver door - See pic. On the passenger side, there are some imperfections in the paint, 1 spot on door top (see pic), and a few other places where paint was scraped or chipped. The passenger side back door, the stop broke which allows the door to swing open farther than it should, and there is some evidence if you look closely, that it was opened too far a few times. There are a few parking lot dings in the side trim on pass side.
The engine was tuned and repainted by the previous seller, and it runs like a watch. The previous owner installed a high capacity aluminum radiator, so it runs nice and cool.
