1972 AMC Javelin

For sale is my 1972 AMC Javelin SST, 304 V8, Auto trans, NO AC. I bought this year ago from the family of the original owner, he passed away and they sold it to me. Spent 1 year in Chicago then came out here ( San Jose ) ever since. I have PILES of receipts from day 1. It was in a front end accident in 1985, was repaired ( have receipts ) which is why it has a salvage title. it was sitting for a year when I bought it. I put gas in it, new battery, and it started right up, no smoke. I then replaced plugs, wires, points & cond, cap and rotor. A little cold blooded, but runs well and idles smooth. It has an Edelbrock aluminum intake and carb, was told to be a 550 CFM. The previous owner redid the entire interior, its excellent. See photos. I was in the process of stripping it down for paint when a need for some cash came up. I have all the emblems. I have a very good correct grille. The rear bumper I just had rechromed, $350.. I was installing the rear spoiler, it needs final fitting. This body has very little rust, none in the fender areas ( prone to rust ) but a little around the rear window ( common on these ). I was going to pull the front and rear glass to repair this while at the body shop before paint. It has several other very minor dings, easily fixed. The paint on the rear 2/3 of the car is original, the front clip was repainted probably at the 1985 accident. No rust problems in trunk. Drivers door needs to be brought up a little bit as it hangs slightly low. RH door is fine. Tires and wheels are brand new. I tuned it by ear so a bit of final tuning might be a good idea. I believe I hear a very small exhaust leak at the front of the RH exhaust manifold. I see there are gaskets and sealer in there so this has probably been that way for a while. You cant really hear it with the hood closed. All in all this a very good, rust free ( almost ) Javelin that needs final minor body work and paint. I decided to sell it as is because you can now verify the lack of rust. Once its painted you'd never know. Please call with any questions, oe Email..
