I am selling this 1966 AMC Ambassador 990. I purchased at a local estate auction in May 2016. I have since spent close to $5000 to get the car to the condition it is in today. It has a new transmission at a cost of $1786. I replaced the steering column at a cost of $823. The brake booster is new- $202. I had a 2 barrel/ manual choke Holly Carb installed- $349. The alternator is new and Battery is New. The interior is generally intact. The front seat and rear area below rear window is rough. The seats had covers on them when I purchased the car. I took the covering off and the seats in the back look pretty good. the front seat covering is worn. There is a little surface rust and the frame is solid. The glass is intact. The car looks all original to me.
The car runs and drives great. I bought the car to flip, and I know I am in a little deeper than I thought. The reserve is much lower than the money I have in it. I don't expect to get back what I put in- unless there are some people out there who love these cars. If you like the 1966 AMC Ambassador 990- then here's your car!
