1972 AMC AMX

Own a piece of american history! up for sale is a very clean AMC JAVELIN AMX ORIGINAL #'S MATCHING 401 GO PACK AUTO PS PDB ADMIRAL BLUE in great condition.this car came from virginia and has a clear virginia title. vin #A2C798Z322290the interior is dark blue and has new legendary seat covers in original color. auto console shifter. 140mph speedo and tic toc tach go pack gaugepack. carpet and headliner are good.it is the original AMC ADMIRAL BLUE paint. i called dupont and got the original code. painted last year with dupont chromabase base coat clear coat. paint looks flat and shiny. body lines are sharp and straight. body man did a good job.very solid car. the floors rockers frame rails fender troughs and trunk are very solid as were the rear quarters.the original 401 was just rebuilt this spring with all new rings bearing and gaskets. everything was checked by a local machine shop and spec'ed out good. original heads were redone. it runs real strong. it has a mild cam and a edelbrock intake. edelbrock carb.the original 727 trans was just rebuilt this spring with all new clutches bands and seals. shifts great!has the functional cowl hood. i just didn't have a breather setup for it yet.was originally a a/c car. still has all or the underdash a/c components installed so you could easily add a/c with a underhood kit.power steering and power front kelsey hayes disc brakes. they stop good but the rh caliper is hanging up a bit.it still needs a few things that i don't have money or time to finish.the front end has new strut rod bushings installed and new sway bar end links but needs to be aligned.the exhaust was taken off of another amx and one muffler is bad. i would put a pair of new mufflers on it.the tires and wheels were just for getting it around. the rear tires are new. all you need to run these wheel is the correct lug nuts. but most people will probably want to put stock wheels on it and again i have no money to finish it the way i wanted it.the front and rear bumpers are ok but to look show i would have them replated. but they look good from 15 feet and will work for the summer.the passenger mirror is missing the mirror glassthis car is for sale locally so the auction may end at any time.i will be adding a picture of the door tag soon
