1964 AMC Rambler

Unique chance to own a perfectly preserved AMC Rambler American 440. If you are a collector or simply appreciative of beautiful American cars, his car will speak to you. The whole car is original. The only modification I made was to convert it from generator to alternator. Car is as it was when build in 1964. Great paint all around, bit faded on trunk and hood. All the chrome is great, nterior is great. The rubber seal is great all around

Stored for years in dry garage
196 cid OHV engine, utomatic 3 speeds (D1, 2 and L)
Very strong body: no rust
All new parts listed here have less than 60 miles on them:
New spark plugs
New spark plug wires
New distributor cap, otor and condenser
New battery and battery cables
Fully cleaned and rebuilt carburetor
Replaced generator with new alternator. Also new voltage regulator
New valve cover gasket
Valve cover and battery plate cleaned to bare metal, rimed, ainted w/ original color and clear coated
New air filter, il filter, uel filter
New thermostat
New engine oil and rear differential gear oil
Radiator thoroughly cleaned, ressure tested, ainted, ith new cap. New coolant fluid
All new hoses around: radiator, uel, acuum
New fan/alternator belt
New Hood emblem insert
New windshield wipers
New brake master cylinder. New rear brake cylinders
Brake fluid flushed & replaced. All brakes cleaned and properly adjusted
All 4 wheel bearings removed, leaned and re-greased
Removed gas tank to check inside. Pristine (no rust). Re-coated the whole outside of it with 3M undercoating spray
Brand new set of tires: Firestone Affinity 195/70 R14
The only thing I would do is having it professionally detailed inside/out: it deserves it.Also, he weather strip on the driver side door frame has retracted.Smalltear on the headline that is on the side panel by the rear window (see pictures)
Freshly titled in Oregon. Tags good until November 2017
Comes with:
- a new 4-layer car cover
- Spare rim + tire (although tire should be replaced)
- Original Jack
Car works perfectly and is super fun to drive. The only thing I would do is having it professionally detailed inside/out: it deserves it.
