Description:

1971 Alfa Romeo Giulia

Up for sale is this 1971 Alfa Romeo Giulia 1300 Super. This is a totally stock, numbers matching Giulia Super with twin Dellortos and 5-speed transmission in the original Rosso Amaranto (AR509) & Cinghiale beige interior color combination. This lovely Giulia was purchased by her original owner in 1971, who took delivery of her at Kalafatis Alfa Romeo Dealership on December 4th of that year in Thessaloniki, Greece. The current owner purchased her from the original owner in 2000, and performed an extensive restoration of using OEM parts from Classic Alfa UK wherever possible in 2017. She was recently brought to the New York, subsequent to the owner’s move back to the US. It will be sold with a transferable NYS registration document, (vehicles registered in NY and built before 1973 do not have titles in New York State)

Prior to her arrival in NY, all maintenance (using only Selenia lubricants) and mechanical repairs to date have been performed exclusively at one of Greece’s premier Alfa specialists, Benavellis & Co., since day one. The car also passed Germany's TUV inspection which is much stricter than any state inspection. Her original engine(1.3 litre)) was rebuilt in 2011 by Nikos Benavellis who had trained as a Master Mechanic in Arese and has has been driven 6000kms since. The odometer currently shows @75k Kilometers (@46k Miles); judging by the fact that this Giulia spent most of its life as a second or third vehicle, this may in fact be the actual total mileage driven.

This Giulia never appears to have been subjected to any impact damage and all rust issues have been professionally addressed over the years. In 2017 she received a full respray in her original Rosso Amaranto and was fitted with new rubber seals throughout. She sounds, shifts and drives extremely well; all gauges lights and accessories work as they should. She also features a dealer installed 8-track player and front 3-point seatbelts. Although not a concours winner by any means, she is a lovely usable classic that is a joy to behold and drive throughout the year.

An original set of keys, original registration information, an owners manual and some maintenance records are available. The owner has begun to entertain the possibility of finding a good 3rd home for our Giulia, and will only discuss very near offers to the asking price, knowing that she will continue to put smiles on peoples' faces for many years to come.

Please, no time wasters or joy riders. Buyer is responsible for shipping and should follow the payment details spelled out in this listing. Good luck and Thanks for Looking
