Tipo 750 D chassis number AR149505490 was manufactured on 11 December 1958, sold 9 January 1959 to Hoffman Motor Car Company (AZ registration is for a 1959 car.) The chassis is a short-door (86.6 in. wheelbase) but has a split-case transmission, suggesting a transition car from the 750 to 101 series.

Under Current ownership:

A full restoration was completed in 2021. The object was to produce a car that could keep up with modern traffic, be reliable, period correct and eligible for local concours events.

Body:The body was primed, painted the original factory white (Blanco Spino) and clear coated using modern acrylic paint. Every piece of chrome was removed and re-plated. Any loose or damaged undercoating was removed and the entire underbody surface recoated.

Interior:Seats were rebuilt with powder coated frames, new padding and vinyl covers in the correct pattern and color (red). New door panels in the same fabric and color were installed. The window channel and window felt replaced. Carpet pieces were replaced.Every rubber seal was replaced with original patterned pieces from Italy, including floor, firewall, behind the seats and trunk mats. Top frame was repainted and a new black cloth top installed. Instruments were restored.

Mechanical:the engine, transmission and driveline have been rebuilt.The transmission was rebuilt and converted to a five speed. The driveline was rebuilt, and a 4.11 differential installed.These modifications were performed to ensure the car could easily run at modern freeway speeds. The front suspension was removed, painted and all warn bushings replaced.The brakes were relined and fitted to the drums; all wheel cylinders, including the master cylinder, were replaced (not fitted with kits). Koni shocks have been fitted.

Wheels and Tires:Five original 15 in. Fregat steel rims were powder coated and fitted with 155SR15 Vredestein black wall tires. New stainless hub caps are installed.

Electrical:A new wiring loom was installed. The car retains its positive ground Lucas electrical system; the starter and generator have been rebuilt. The windshield wiper motor was rebuilt. All lights, horn, and heater fan function as designed.A modern AGM battery is fitted.
