1977 Alfa Romeo Spider

I bought this 1977 Alfa Romeo Spider 2000 afew years ago. The car would start and run but at a very high RPM.After weeks of learning about the Spica fuel injection system Iconcluded that the injectors were needing an overhaul. I decided togo with a carburator system instead and bought on ebay the Webercarbs, the carb intake manifold, and a new fuel cell. The gas tankhas rust and was clogging the filters and the fuel pump. The originalfuel pressure regulator is also missing. I was going to replace thetank with a fuel cell. At this point I no longer wanted to work onthe project and I pushed the car into my heated garage where it has been fora few years. The injectors are not connected and only hand tight. Atthis time you cannot start the car. I can only say that it does runand that I was able to test the transmission moving it about in mydriveway. The clutch is good along with the brakes but the brakelines really need to be replaced. It may also need a new head gasket.The Tach is not working as it should. There is no wiper motor, theheater is disconnected. The body is not damaged from an accident, itsits true and square. The doors and windows work. Someone before Ibought the car screwed in the patch panels along the lower portion ofthe car. They do hide rust and rot. The spare wheel well has beenfixed so that it functions. The body has points of rot and dentswhich someone attempted to put body putty over, not a very good job.I have a clear NJ title in my name. This is a project or a parts car.You are buying this AS IS. There are safety issues with a car in thiscondition and that must be understood if you plan to put it on theroad.
